Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program

The Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program is located at our Hamilton Campus at 2931 Harvard Road in Erie, PA. This is a program specially designed to meet the needs of children between the ages of 3 years old to approximately 8 years of age.

All children receive daily therapeutic activities; group therapy, family consultation, parent support / education, behavior modification, low staff to client ratios, and frequent positive reinforcement are uniquely tailored for children in their early childhood.

In addition, children participating in the program experience high quality early childhood educational opportunities including preschool, kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. The therapeutic approaches are integrated into the daily lesson plans. Lessons are designed to meet the educational standards established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

All therapeutic and educational activities focus on helping the child and caregivers to develop critical assets for children of this age to be successful now and in the future including: engaging in social interactions with peers in a safe manner; emotional and behavioral self-regulation at home, in school, and in the community; maintaining relationships with caring adults; and competence in developmentally appropriate academic subjects.

Children in the preschool program attend Monday through Friday 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Children in the kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades attend Monday through Friday 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Caregivers are scheduled to meet monthly with the therapist and/or psychiatrist and are invited to attend monthly support/educational groups. The preschool program is a member of the Keystone Stars initiative meeting the rigorous standards established by the Office of Early Childcare and Development.
